Yes setup as follows (taken out of mpd0 and 1):

Ok, a couple of things happened after the update and reboot:


- The devices swapped around,i.e., analogue first, DAC second.


- The analogue now plays, but unfortunately the DAC does not.

ok, I think I found it. Update again, then set all your cards to sift vol. That should make it work.

Have got this installed and running, great job!




Have done some initial testing and these are my results




- flac files from local library work as expected


- LastFM works as expected


- BBC radio stations don't work


- Napster doesn't work


- Other internet feeds only work as mp3 streams




So looks like I will need to install something on the vortexbox to enable all internet services to work, will have a look.




Am planning on using the VB Player to hook up to my wireless headphones so this is a godsend, I'd trialled squeezeplay and it was pretty rubbish so this is a massive step forward. I may also look to hook up a USB DAC if that will improve the sound quality

Hi GC,


I got napster to work by installing the play wma plugin which is available from http://bpaplugins.googlecode.c.....k/repo.xml


Add this repository to the squeezebox server plugins page and then tick the play wma plugin from bpa's Squeezecenter Plugins list and then apply.


This assumes you have got your squeezebox apps working by changing the vortexbox player mac address to something unique in the vortexbox web interface.

BBC Player all sorted and working : )
(I did have to deselect the "Prefer WMA Streams" option on the iplayer settings though to play prerecorded programs)
