FLAC Mirror and embedded album art.

Hi!




I have album art embedded in the flac files. After running Flac Mirror there is no album art in the mp3 files.




Is there a setting I can change so the album art is embedded in the mp3 files to?

I think I'm running an older version of flac2mp3 independently (via cron job), I seem to recall the changes you had asked for would copy over cover.jpg to the mp3 folder from flac folder, is that correct ?

yes copying the cover art from the flac folder to the mp3 folder is already working in VortexBox What we need is a way to embed the cover art in the actual mp3 files.

For those who can't wait - I haven't tried them, but EasyTag, EyeD3, and mid3v2 are all said to be able to do this.

ah ok, I've changed my cronjob to pick up the vortexbox flac3mp3 script rather then the one I'd previously downloaded which should work better.




I'd be really interested in the embedding feature through flac2mp3 if it comes in future versions, mainly for using with iTunes

I did see that but it's based on a version of flac2mp3 that's 2 years old. We may loose a lot of the newer features of flac2mp3 by using that. I'll take a look at merging the code with the new version.




Also it looks like this code will copy over embeded cover art that is in the flac file. What we relly want is to have it use cover.jpg.




Any perl experts out there?

I tried the version that copy the embedded album art to mp3 and it worked fine on XP.




But then I replaced the flac2mp3.pl on Vortexbox I got "Can't find file or folder" then running from the Command Line.




Changing back the script and it runs fine from the CLI.
