    Metadata editing

    Hi,

I've searched the forums but haven't found this question/answer. I've copied over many audio book files in MP3 format. The filenames themselves are consistent, which I know aren't read by the Vortexbox because of the use of meta tags. My question is, how do I edit the meta tags so that the players consistently play the files in the order they should be?

    Thanks for your assistance, Mike

Mike, take this with a grain of salt because I have not done it.

I think if you use any tag editor, like MP3TAG, to place a file number in front of each chapter's title, the default order will be set by that number.

Assuming that there are more than nine files per book, It would be wise to use a 01, 02, . . . or 001, 002, . . .scheme so that if 11 sorts before 2, the files will sort and play in the correct order.

    Here's hoping that works.
