    FTP gone

    Hi, after the recent upgrades i cant seem to ftp into my vortextbvox anymore.. FTP is done by samba right?
    ive tried to stop and restart the service without success.
    Any tips?

    You will need to use a program like WinSCP ( http://winscp.net/eng/index.php ) and SFTP to port 22. Use your root login. Let me know if it works or not. Samba handles CIFS (Windows) shares, not FTP.

    Ok Cheers, i just tried it, i just filled in the ip for hostname, left the port nr to 22 and left the file protocol to SFTP. Hangs on authenticating.
    i cant help feeling somethings not running properly, as i can use putty to connect and SBs al work normal aswell..

    its sorted, and frankly i have know idea what i did other then updating firefox and rebooting :s
    so weird, it just showed up under network again. Sorry guys
