Help please - Kernel panic during Virtual install

Hi,

I'm new to Vortexbox and Linux in general. I am following an online guide in an attempt to install Vortexbox as a virtual machine. The reason behind this is that I have a small pc that I want to retain a windows base OS mainly due to having an LCD display in the case that is driven by LCDSmartie (windows app).

Anyway, the problem I am encountering is when I attempt to install using the <30GB VMWare option. I get the following Kernel panic;



Any help would be appreciated.

Which VM host are you using? VMWare? VirtualBox? Have you tried doing the regular install? When I setup VB on VMW8 I had to use the normal install to get it to work. Also, make sure if you use the <30GB option that your vmdk or drive isn't set to be over 30GB.
