You are correct. The change to use parted instead of sfdisk was introduced in February 2012, and was not part of the original VB 2.0 release in November 2011. The current VB 2.0 code uses parted.

All VB 2.0 users are encouraged to keep their systems up to date with regular upgrades.

I agree, it would be great if each VB ISO had a separate version number: VB 2.0, VB 2.0.1, VB 2.0.2, etc, with a list of changes that apply to each version. This has been suggested to Andrew several times, but he has not bought in to doing this.

    Andrew,

Thanks. VortexBox version 2.1 was posted today with today's date and a new MD5 checksum. Your response to customer suggestions is greatly appreciated!

3tb is not my issue. I have tried backup on numerous drives including ones as small as 120gb. I believe it must be something with my machine as I seem to be the only one with this specific issue. Also I made a new post in the general forum but I'll ask here too: Since 2.1 supports 3tb drives on backup does it also support them for the main drive?
