What Are The Best FLAC Settings?

I will be loading my entire CD Collection on my VortexBox 3TB. What are the best FLAC settings (or other program) to use, or just leave it alone (Default) as my VB was set up when I first received it?

Just leave everything set to default. These are the best possible settings.

Sounds easy enough. I will load my CDs, as it is.
    'Thanks', Andrew!

Please take a look at http://info.vortexbox.org/tiki-index...+CD+Collection for advice.

IMO, one size does not fit all. The best possible settings will differ for individuals. If your CD Collection is large, has classical, or your time is valuable, you will be MUCH better off using another, external, ripper, if only for the more accurate meta data (tags). The wiki contains lots of valuable advice on how and why to select ripping options. You will thank the authors and yourself for reading the wiki.
