[SOLVED] MiniDLNA Seems Not To Be Not Working - Advice Please

I've been running my VBA for around a year and half and it's running VB2.0 (after upgrade) in a nice and stable manner for music playback. However, up to now, I've never worried about DLNA distribution of pics or movies cos my Sony telly didn't play nicely as a DLNA client. However, my new HUMAX PVR (connected to Home network via Homeplugs) does so I thought it was about time to start pulling my pics down from storage/pictures via miniDLNA. Unfortunately, my HUMAX can't see any DLNA servers and neither can the rest of my network devices.

A quick look at the DLNA Server Log via the VB GUI shows I appear to have problems! The log starts in March 2011 and for a few days, it reported the following each day:

    [2011/03/21 07:33:49] minidlna.c:773: warn: Starting MiniDLNA version 1.0.18.2 [SQLite 3.6.23.1].
    [2011/03/21 07:33:49] minidlna.c:861: warn: HTTP listening on port 8200
    [2011/03/21 17:58:19] minidlna.c:153: warn: received signal 15, good-bye

However, according to the log, for the last few months, the following error is being generated several times per day

    [2012/05/12 17:54:11] minissdp.c:324: error: sendto(udp_notify=8, 192.168.1.101): Invalid argument

Presumeably, this is the reason why I can't see the DLNA server from elsewhere on the network.

Can anyone suggest how I can get miniDLNA working since I don't think a need a full-featured DLNA server like Serviio. Should I use the VBA GUI to rescan the DLNA server or Reset to Defaults, or is there somewthing else I should be doing? Sorry if this is a basic question but I'm not terribly familiar with all this DLNA stuff

    MAny thanks

Upgrade your VB to the latest software and reboot. See if that helps.

    Hi Ron

As usual, your advice (plus a DLNA rescan from the VBA GUI) has done the trick. My VBA is now streaming photos nicely to my telly via my new Humax HDR-FOX-T2. As always, thanks for your help
