Hi Andrew, I'm a great fan of your product and was recently searching for a nice way to implement this to the computers around the house (I dont have a squeezebox yet and softsqueeze is yet to impress me)


So, I went on a web hunt and discovered these three ideas:

GNUMP3d – http://www.gnu.org/software/gnump3d/




I liked being able to download playlists that link directly to the server. I think these have potential to make vortexbox even better. Unfortunately, I managed to break my system attempting an install, so I'll await further instruction from you.

Sockso is essentially a lighter version of it, and GNUMP3d would be the basic HTML edition (figuratively speaking)




Also, if it helps, this was the best guide I found for installing java on Fedora

Cool, I'lltake a look. Sun JAVA is already avalible to VortexBox.


yum install jre


and you have it.
