Problem Ripping DVD's: Error Message MakeMKV too Old [SOLVED]

I have been ripping DVD's OK for the last two weeks until yesterday when my DVD's failed to rip. I got an error message below:

"This application version is too old. Please download the latest version at http://makemkv.com or enter a registration key to continue using the current version."

Does anyone have simple step by step instructions on what I should do? I'm not sure how to load the updated software on the vortexbox.
