after clean iso install mysqueezebox no longer playing [RESOLVED]
after doing a clean iso install, because of problems I was having after my last update.
I no longer can listen to my app's and internet radio (sounds like static).
My apps show up in LMS but do not play correctly.
This was working before I did the new install, so I have no idea what to do.
I am using a VBA and vortexbox player through usb to my Peachtree Nova DAC.
Control is with iping on an ipod.
After the new install allot of things changed (ip#, player MAC#) I did reconnect to
mysqueezebox.com, but still no joy.

What is the output of "aplay -L" ? Please post it here, so I can help you with the vortexbox player configuration page.

Here is the output of aplay -L on my vortexbox
It depends on which output that you want to use, If its the analog then look for the front:CARD=DG,DEV=0 and use front:CARD=DG,DEV=0 in the Vortexbox Player configuration page. If you want to use the digital output it would be iec958:CARD=DG,DEV=0 and you would use iec958:CARD=DG,DEV=0 in the Vortexbox Player configuration page. If you have a windows computer, Cryptoterm would allow you to login remotely and post the output of aplay -L
If you are not going to use the analog output of the motherboard sound card, you would save yourself some time and just disable it in the bios.

Open up a terminal window and ssh into the vortexbox. Then you can type in the command aplay -L
