Problems with Player on VBA

One of my SB Duet Recievers has stopped working so I started using my VBA as a player. Initially it worked fine but now I have* problems.

Some of my music files play, others do not. If they do not play sometimes I get a ticking noise, sometimes silence, and sometimes a "file not found message". All of the files play fine on my other Duet Reciever, served up from the VBA. It plays Internet Radio no problem.

In the GUI under System Configuration the Player shows as stopped. If I hit the Start button, and the confirm message, nothing happens, i.e. it remains stopped.

I have tried rebooting the VBA, and stopping and starting the Player from my Controller.

I am running

VortexBox SW Version: 1.10

Linux OS Version: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)

I could do with some help on this one please. On the GUI interface under Systems Configuration it shows VB Player as STOPPED. However I can play some music files and internet radio. I cannot start the player either by using the "Start" button, or by restarting the VBA.

What are the settings you have for the Vortexbox player? Might be worth trying plughw:1,0 (or hw:1,0) instead of 'Default' and resubmitting.
Also make your you don't have the player synced to your duet.

You may also want to install VortexBox 2.o It has a lot of updates that may resolve the problem.
