    Upgrade disaster, please help!!

I have some time off over the holidays, so I figured I'd finally update my Vortexbox appliance to the latest version. Bad idea...I have zero experience with Linux, but I figured I'd give it a shot, though now I wish I hadn't attempted to try this. I have a Vortexbox appliance running Fedora 12(?) and Vortexbox version 1.5. I tried to update via the step by step instructions here: http://vortexbox.org/documenta.....t-release/ and got as far as the first reboot after doing the Fedora Update Stage 1...now my terminal will not boot. AT ALL. From what I could tell the first update had no problems, but I'm sitting in front of a screen with a flashing '_' in the top left hand corner. The vortexbox will not respond to any keyboard commands at all, so I have no idea what to do next...When I restart it things appear ok, USB drivers load, 1024mb ok, and then bam, NOTHING '_' What did I do wrong? I thought I followed the instructions perfectly, but I have a dead Vortexbox on my hands. Please help the clueless! Thanks!!!

Install VB 2.0 from the ISO then restore your music library from your USB backup drive.

    See http://vortexbox.org/documenta.....all-guide/

Great! Do an Upgrade from the VB GUI to get your system up to date, then reboot, and you should be in good shape.
