Upgrade to Logitech Media Server 7.7.0

There's a bug in the LMS 7.7.0 package; it does not set up LMS to autostart on reboot if it's installed over a previous version of SBS.

Login to your VB and enter

chkconfig squeezeboxserver on

and LMS will be autostarted on reboot.

lms is not booting up at boot , have to start it up in the UI every time...

you think reinstalling it might help?

its not a big problem though, since by box runs 24/7 and theres an update to vb2.0 coming anyway afaik

Great to see LMS 7.7.0 is including DLNA. *Noticed this on my ps3 today. *It supports music well, and took some configuring to get video working using this thread on slimdevices discussing bugs and how to overcome them:*http://forums.slimdevices.com/.....hp?t=91021

I updated Andrew's original post to list additional commands needed to fix problems with the LMS 7.7.0 install:

upgrade-to-logitech-media-server-7-7-0

This updated procedure should now work to install LMS 7.7.0 over an existing SBS installation, start LMS, and have LMS autostarted at boot time.

Later note: 7.7 was doing a seemingly endless loop scanning for "media" files. I aborted the scan, unchecked the "scan media" option in the Web Gui and then ran a complete rescan. That seemed to solve the problem. Full scan was done and completed.

Ran this upgrade today on my VBA. *No issues, rescan complete, all slimdevices units working as expected.
