Inquired at dealer about the Berkeley USB converter and suitability for Linux: the product sheet says it works with "some versions of Linux".

This is the response I received:
"Berkeley does not support Linux, but in order to use it on a Linux based unit, it must be ALSA 1.0.23 or above and be able to select output device."
My understanding is that Vortexbox is using ALSA 1.0.24 and that you can select the output device, so this should work.
Correct?
