How much resource does transmission and the other services use?

Hi,

was considering setting up transmission on my vb. How much resource will it use? (its a fitpc)

1 gb RAM.

If there are any linux commands you think I should run, feel free...

btw - also was thinking about setting up webmin on it - is that resource heavy when not in use? In the past I had gnome on it, vnc to it - however i think that may have been a bit much for it...

Most Linux services consume few resources when not in use, even if the processes are running in the background.

My suggestion: try installing and using transmission and webmin. You can always remove them (or shut them down) if they are not working out to your liking.

You can also use the top or htop commands to see which processes are using the most CPU time or memory. *If htop isn't on your VB, you can install it from the command line via

yum install htop
