Two drives in VB system

Dear All,

This is my first post so please bear with me.. I'm in the process of putting together a new build. I would ideally like to have 2 drives in the system; one 1TB drive with the Vortexbox OS on, and a second 40gb drive with Windows OS installed.

On rare occasions i need to use a windows based OS for work purposes - i would boot from the Vortexbox drive 90% of the time.

Is this something that is possible?*

No, VortexBox requires a dedicated machine.

Is there no way around this, even if the boot sequence in the bios is changed? i.e change the primary boot between drives?*

I thnk your approach is worth a try, but I don't know if it will work. Here's what I would try:

1. Install 40GB drive and install Windows on it.
2. Remove 40GB drive, install 1TB drive, and install VortexBox on it.
3, Reinstall 40GB drive in second bay.
4. When your system boots, it will boot to VortexBox.
5. Change BIOS settting to boot from second drive.
6. When your system boots, it will boot to Windows (hopefully!)
7. Change BIOS to boot from first drive to get back to VortexBox.

Not sure if steps 5 and 6 will work, but it's worth a try.
