namebrand vortexbox / vortexbox player

Hi,




Doe the "vortexbox player" work with the builtin jacks (specifically I connected with the green jack in the back)?




Under "System Configuration" it says stopped. Pressing start, it posts back, but never changes. Following that with clicking "submit" doesn't start it either.




And I'm just totally confused if I need to do something with the "Configure VortexBox Player".




I've also done a system update followed by a reboot, so I should be using the latest.




What am I missing here?

You need to go to the Configure VortexBox Player GUI page and click "Submit" to set it up.


After you do this, you should see VortexBox Player as a player option in the SqueezeBox Server web interface.

I guess I assumed it would be pre-configured. Are there instructions on how to configure it for the namebrand box? I'm confused by the UI. Or are you saying it is configured already and that I just only need to hit submit?

VortexBox player is not enabled by default. This is because everybody does not uses VortexBox player. If you go to the VortexBox player GUI and press the submit you should get a good default configuration. There are tool tips that explain the operation if you want to make changes.

I had seen a post about hitting the submit button but I confused it with the submit button on "System Configuration"
