    BitTorrent ripping impact/scheduling

    Hi All,

As per my last post I've set up Bittorrent and downloading some flac's onto the server, one thing I have noticed that whilst downloading my laptop internet is a lot slower, in addition it seems that the ripping process is impacted - there are higher then normal 'unknown artists' and not much artwork being picked up.

I guessing here that the VB is timing out due to Bittorrent flooding my router/internet bandwith, does this make sense ?

With that in mind, is there anyway of scheduling Bittorrents or do I have to go and manually disable ?

    Thanks

    Ian

Many low cost routers are easily overloaded by bittorrent traffic. You may want to get a better router. Also you can set the max upload and download bandwidth used by bittorrent.

Mine was very low cost...it was free ! I'll take a look into restricting the bandwidth as a starter

    Thanks
