Fedora KDE or other desktop gui on vortexbox?

Hi - I was thinking of hooking up the vortexbox VGA connector to my TV mainly for the purpose of web browising.

Is it possible (or advisable) to install a desktop Gui on the vortexbox? For example, KDE? will it work? will it mess up the other functions? break anything?

Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

    Thanks.

Yep it runs fine, have a look here:

I use gnome on my machine because it is a bit underspecced for the full blown KDE with all the bells and whistles.

I normally have it in text console for everyday useage but the GUI is there if needed, it runs fine, all updated and nothing has caused any problem.

Caveat: I am running the beta VortexBox version so not 100% sure on the regular one.

Also see the VortexBox wiki for info on setting up a Gnome or KDE GUI desktop:
