Integrate the Musicbrainz Database - Trackinfomation





Little Info:


MusicBrainz is a project that aims to create an open content music database. Similar to the freedb project, it was founded in response to the restrictions placed on the CDDB. However, MusicBrainz has expanded its goals to reach beyond a compact disc metadata storehouse to become a structured "Wikipedia for music"




MusicBrainz is for free.


The Server hase an open API for connection to the Server.

Track and disk name information already comes from Musicbrainz. We have used Musicbrainz since version 1.0. Check out the changelog

Thank you for the Musicbrainz info, what do you want?


As Andrew has mentioned, a lot of the information is added to the files when they are ripped.




What extra do you need?


Yes these systems struggle when faced with complations and try to make a best guess as to which CD is in the drive being ripped. Of course you can fiddle with the data for as long as you like making it perfect.


You can also use other tools to do the same job if you dont like the way VB does it.
