    Christmas shopping?

    Published on 12-12-2012 09:00 AM

I just wanted to remind everybody that we have an Amazon store where we sell products related to VortexBox. We get a small cut from Amazon that goes to help the project. Two of the favorites are an inexpensive USB to SPDIF converter and 1 TB drive used for backup.

    VortexBox 2.2 released

    Published on 11-08-2012 05:00 PM

We have been working hard over the past few months on Vortexbox 2.2 and its ready today! This release includes the new 3.6 Linux kernel. We have also added multi-language support to the web GUI. This has been a requested feature of many of our international users. If anybody is interested in translating VortexBox to their native language contact me through the forum.

VortexBox Player now supports the M2Tech hiFace USB to SPDIF converter. This is a popular unit and many hiFace users have asked for this to be included. The driver is universal and supports all DACs that use the same chipset as the hiFace.

We are proud to announce http://myvortexbox.com. This site will find your VortexBox on your network if your router has changed the IP address.

The Pogo handles it fine, though it can drop HD audio when it is updating the library. Not something that happens every day, but worth noting. Otherwise

    Not Sure What Happened/Happening???

    Use

    Code:
    yum localinstall package_filename
    or
    Code:
    rpm -ivh package_filename
to install local rpm packages. Use the filename, not just the package name.
