Hi All,

I'm new to Vortexbox. I just bought a Squeezebox Radio. I'd like to use the Vortexbox software to create a NAS specficially for the purpose of being a music server. I don't need backup or anything since I have other solutions. My music library is around 32GB. I was able to find some great deals on old hardware, and this is what I'm getting.

- HP Thin Client – 800mhz Eden CPU w/ 128MB RAM

- 64GB USB flash drive to hold all my music

I know this may sound a bit odd, and it isn't the "standard" NAS configuration, but the thin client does not have room for a hard drive inside. Also, by going with flash memory and a fanless CPU, I should have a silent system. My questions are…

- Is the 800mhz Eden CPU w/ 128MB RAM enough power to support Vortexbox + Squeezecenter Server?

- Can Squeezecenter stream off my USB drive without issue?

- Any other feedback!?!? This is my first DIY project in a long time. I have a blog, and I will post updates to the project as I go!

Thanks for the response – what about using the USB flash drive?

What about only 128MB RAM? Think I'll be okay with that?
