How to update Bliss?

Just to confirm, Jim, the releases I send to Andrew are always the same as the ones that are released on the blisshq website, they have gone through the week's testing.

Occasionally, if someone reports a problem, I work with the person, fix the code, and send them beta versions to test out to see if their problem is fixed.

gravelld,

That is what I understood also.  Because VB has not been updated for weeks, and because many VB users have requested that VortexBox's implementation of Bliss be more current, does it seem practical for the Bliss weekly update to be included in a VortexBox weekly BETA release?  VortexBox developers would, of course, need to release BETA versions of VortexBox.

Would VortexBox developers also need to implement your offer of a link to install released-Bliss manually?

Thanks for the confirmation.

VortexBox and the VB GUI were updated from -3 to
-4 during the last day.  To learn the purpose of the changes without doing the changes I used the
rpm -q – -changelog vortexbox
and
rpm -q – -changelog vb-GUI commands.

The most recent changes listed are three months old:
. Mon Apr 12 2010 <admin@vortexbox.org>
   small fix for twonkymedia
. Mon Apr 12 2010 <admin@vortexbox.org>
   Added support for bliss

- Will it be possible for the developers to post change logs
for interim releases, allowing customers to avoid
   the command line?

- Was an update to the current version of Bliss included
   in the -4 changes?

- Were there any other changes that we can help checkout
   and report back on?

Thanks,
JG

I've added links to blisshq.com to RPMs of bliss for you to install manually.

Download from: http://www.blisshq.com/download.html

Installation instructions: http://www.blisshq.com/install…..exbox.html

If anyone would like to proofread (the second link especially) I'd be grateful.

Jim, apologies but are you referring to changes/updates to bliss, or VortexBox more generally?
