I am trying to install v1.4 on a Chaintech 9VIF1 mobo. Installation fails to install eth0 but finishes the rest of the installation. The device is a PCI VIA 10/100 Fast Ethernet adaptor (on-board).

I welcome any advice.

Since there has been no reply I am going to assume that Vortexbox is not compatible with this NIC. I will try another one.

Solved Wink

On two different systems install failed at eth0 discovery. It turns out that the ethernet port must be connected to a live network during installation.

Thanks for the feedback. That requirement probably bites lots of VortexBox users during installation. It has got me, and when it started working, I had no idea why.
