Dual entries for all albums

I noticed that several albums had double entries on squeezebox.  Went to settings and changed to mp3, and then went back to flac.  Now I have double entries on all albums in flac and the ones that had been doubled previously now have quadruple entries.

Another curious thing, when I open up vortexbox it lists the proper number of albums, but when I go to artists it lists double that.

I did a complete update and am now on .9.

How do I get rid of the extras.  Not much computer knowledge here, so I have to be walked through.

Thanks.

When you look at the Vortexbox directly, say from a Windows computer "Network" are there single entries for each CD?  I am assuming so if the number of albums seems correct.  That would lead one to believe that the SqueezeCenter has simply listed the same CD/song multiple times.

Just quick idea, from the Vortexbox web gui, go to the Squeezebox Server (second icon on the left), in the lover right of the Squeezebox server click on "settings", then from the "Rescan Music Library" select "Clear Library and Rescan Everything" and then click scan.

When I open up Vortexbox it says Filesystem size is 911G and used is 618G.

When I go to squeezebox Home it says I have 3050 Albums and 40,609 songs which is half the number before I went to settings and switched from flac to mp3 and then back to flac.  The album art for each artist now has the Dual entry with identical songs and stats, but the Album art registers for the original entry and just the generic icon of the disc for the dual entry.  Does that make any difference?

Found you're suggestion with no problem, and will try that shortly.

Another question, I'll ask here and in another thread–If I take my Vortexbox computer and take it to a good friends house, burn his discs without an internet connection, when I get home will it search for the art work afterwards?

I had a computer built just before Andrew had started building his.  It's pretty much identical except I put in 2 gigs of memory instead of 1 and a little bigger case.

Thank you for the reply.

Tom,

Just wanted to say thank you for the solutiion.

Worked like a charm.  Everything is cleaned up and back in order.

I find it amazing what Andrew and other programmers have accomplished.
