Installation – no problems.

Updating everything – easy.

Dragging existing files into flac directory – no problems.

Getting Squeezebox server to scan everything – after one false start: no problems.

Back up files: plug-in USB drive, reformat and go. What? It's even incremental.

And now I can play my iTunes files without first converting them to FLAC: that also just works.

I'm feeling redundant – all those hours mugging up on Linux and Ubuntu rendered redundant.

Seriously, this is a brilliant distribution. I have been using Ubuntu Server for the last 18 months but decided to give Vortexbox a try out on my Dell PowerEdge SC440 as a longer-term solution so I can ditch the big Ubuntu book.

I must agree.

I am using it for 2 years now, no problems at all.

It just works.

Very boring and does not allow me to use any of my techie skills.
