I'm posting the notice here to give it broader exposure, since few people seem to follow the BETA forum these days.
To install bliss:
Login to your VortexBox as root and enter the following commands:
yum clean all; yum update
yum install bliss
I have installed it on my VortexBox Appliance and it is working well. It's a great way to download and upgrade your cover art.
Once the bliss service is installed, you should see an icon for it on the VB GUI main page. Click the icon to get to the bliss web interface at http://vortexbox-ip:3220.
On the bliss web interface page:
The first thing to do is to click on settings to configure how you want bliss to work:
1. Set Music location to /storage/music/flac if necessary.
For testing purposes, here's how I suggest running bliss:
2. Set Embed cover art in music files to ignore.
3. Click advanced to fine-tune configuration options:
4. Set Overwrite existing art to Never overwrite existing art
5. Set Minimum size and Maximum size as desired. I set Minimum size500×500 and Maximum Size Any, since I like large cover art.
6. Click Apply Rule
bliss will now analyze the cover art in your music collection and come up with suggested cover art for each album in your collection. You can peruse the choices that bliss provides, and install one of the suggested alternatives if you want.
7. bliss gives you 500 "fixes" free, then you can buy more.
8. bliss runs as a daemon, constantly checking your music library. This chews up a lot of CPU cycles, and can slow down things like rescanning your SqueezeBox Server music library. If you decide you want to stop bliss from running, enter
Hi guys, I'll be watching this thread too. Thanks, Andrew and the community, VortexBox is a great project.
bliss is an application for managing your music collection, and is especially suited for installation on servers like VortexBox because it works via a web based user interface.
bliss manages your music by rules. This is to support large music collections, where manually tagging, rectifying inconsistencies and so on becomes more and more difficult the larger the collection gets.
Right now, it's just album art that is covered by a rule. Later, I want to introduce file organisation rules, genre management rules, compilation management and more. Anybody with ideas are welcome to get in touch here, at the UserVoice pages or via email.

It works but the count system of album left to review is suspect. I made a change to the settings after a number of albums had been reviewed and it started back at zero. On the second time pass I noticed that some albums were offered up with a cover and it counted down the fixes left. I used all my free fixes and doubt that half my music album art work has been changed.
I have now stopped the program as the constant scanning is not required.
Will need to review if I think this is worth $50 Australian, at the moment I would say no as I have art for all my albums apart from 1 or 2. This has only given me a higher scan image.
A few selections were wrong and quite a few offered a tape scan as it was high res.
About the count system, it will count down if there is existing art, but the art isn't embedded. For instance, if you already have a cover.jpg in an album directory but the art isn't embedded (and the cover art rule says the art should be embedded) then it will embed the art and count down once per album.
I'd also be interested in knowing which selections were wrong, I'm always seeking to improve the queries.

The way I understand your explanation of the countdown is that if I have an album directory with 100 flac files, all lacking ebbedded art, and have the Bliss rule set to embed, the countdown will decrement by 1 for embedding those 100 images.
