My vortexbox no longer can attatch to LAST.FM and BBC iplayer. The log file in squeezecentre indicate it is unable to resolve the address ie a DNS issue. However from the vortexbox console i can resolve the relevant addresses. Does anyone have any idea why squeezecentre is unable to resolve thes addresses?
Iam using version 0.9 Beta
Thanks in advance

Is there anyway of reverting to version 0.8 so i can see if my problem is related to the beta update?

There are some strange DNS issues with SC 7.3.3 several users have reported that to this forum and the SlimDevices forum.
From what I hear you can restart squeezecenter from command line and it will start working. But you have to restart it again every time your reboot your system.

I am having a slightly different issue… I can see stations saved in my favorites but I cab browse for new stations…only add by url…
Any ideas?
Not sure when this last was there but i think .07 was fine for sure… now I am on the current beta
UPDATE.. .I just restarted and seems to be back…
My system has a USB DAC connected and while its working its not listed now, it used to be. does the sound config file get overwritten in updates too?

Somtimes the updates do overwrite files. if you change a file back it up.

OK so i think i have worked out when this is happening.
I have an external ntfs hdd with my music that i mount. When i mount it manually all is ok, i can access all of last fm and bbc iplayer.(i use: mount /dev/sdb1 /storage)
The problem only starts when i try to auto mount the drive on boot up. I have added the above mount command to s99local as instructed by Andrew.
So now i ask is there any reason why this should happen? Also is there any other way of mounting my NTFS at boot.
Thanks in advance
