I order to access VortexBox from your Apple OSX machine you need to add a few things. Go to the command prompt of the VortexBox and update your system by typing this.

yum -y update

Next configre your system to work better with OSX. Type

setup-mac

This will create a user you can use to access your VortexBox. VortexBox will appear in your Finder. Connect to it and use the username guest and the password vortexbox.

You can use your VortexBox with Time Capsule to backup your system. You will need to run this command from the terminal window on your mac to allow Time Capsure to use your VortexBox.

sudo defaults write com.apple.systempreferences TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes 1
