One of the greatest strengths of VortexBox is its user forum. An army of tireless volunteers that work to help new users and veteran users alike solve problems and share information. Up until now we have been using the free Simple::Press Forum software. This works OK but has quite a few problems, as many frequent posters know.
A lot of users have suggested we use vBulletin. I checked it out and vBulletin is a really great system. vBulletin is not freeware though, and we need to buy a license and purchase some better web hosting to run it on. This will cost about $600. I have put a donate meter on the main page and all donations to VortexBox will be going directly to the user forum upgrade. The quicker we get the money the quicker we can get a new forum!
So if you love the VortexBox user forum dig deep; even a donation of $15 or $20 will help us reach our goal!
