Hi Fellows!
I feel glad to finally become one of the users of the excellent Vortexbox! It is every bit as easy as it is said to be!
I built my own NAS days ago around the Intel D425KT Motherboard, 1 TB Seagate HDD. Copied all the FLACs and MP3s to the /files folder. When connected through the same router in office, my Android LMS (Logitech Media Server) app was able to see the Squeezebox Server as defined in vortexbox. But when I went home and used a DWL-2100AP in wireless client mode to another router DSL-2640T and connected the vortexbox machine to the LAN port of the 2100AP, the Android LMS app is not detecting the squeezebox server! Another android app "UPnP Play" is detecting both Vortexbox media Server and the squeezebox Server. But it can only play MP3 files from the Vortexbox media server. It shows all the FLAC albums and artists in the squeezebox Server but does not play them. Which is understandable as UPnP Play is a DLNA based app which does not support FLAC.
When I use my PC to go to //vortexbox I can easily open the web interface. So why does the android LMS app not detect the Vortexbox Squeezebox Server when connected via a wireless client, while it does when connected directly to the main router?

Forgot to add... through the web interface on the laptop, I can run the squeezebox server, select Vortexbox player and play the library. This again through the same wireless client setup.

Another feedback to the problem above... I restarted everything and tried the same thing again... This time, the LMS app on android shows me a Squeezebox Touch player! (I don't have any other squeezebox player). I can see Internet Radio as the only option, no my music. If I switch off the vortexbox, this player goes away.

Please run "
yum -y clean all; yum -y update" from the terminal prompt, reboot the vortexbox, and then see if this fixes the LMS issues that you are experiencing. If you need a terminal emulator, use either Cryptoterm (http://www.cryptoterm.com/download.php?id=233)
or Putty (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html)
. To login, use root for the username and whatever you set for the password if you did your own install. The default password of the vortexbox from sgc is vortexbox in lower case.

Thanks! meanwhile i installed MPDroid and it works just fine... but the LMS user interface is much better.

What is the IP address of the network interface on the D425KT and what is the IP address of your Android device?

Make sure your running the DWL-2100AP is "Bridge mode". If that doesn't work use a power line network adapter like this one. It's more reliable and easier to set up than a wireless Bridge.

I don't think there is any problem in the network settings of Vortexbox or DWL-2100AP because, I installed another Squeezebox controller called "Squeezer" from marketplace and it works perfectly. The same interface as the Logitech App but better connectivity options. As in, it allowed me to put the static IP address of the Vortexbox NAS and it connected to the library in seconds. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Logitech App but it still does not find my Vortexbox Logitech Media Server.
I figured out the Squeezebox Touch mystery. I used to have one and the Logitech App asks to sign with mysqueezebox username and password in the beginning. It is probably showing me my old registered Squeezebox Touch with only Internet Radio as the option.
Thanks folks for helping out on this issue.... I have a new one :)
How to get Vortexbox Player to level the volume during playback based on the ReplayGain values that it saves in the Tags while ripping?

Update:
I connected the VB via Ethernet & my android phone with LMS App to the same Wi-fi router again... and it works!. I don't understand networking well enough to know why this happens.
So the summary of this post: Logitech Media Server App for Android / iphone is able to detect Vortexbox Player as a Squeezebox Player only if the VB and Phone are connected to the same Wi-fi Router. All other apps (MPDroid, Squeezer) work when the Android phone is connected to the wi-fi router and VB is connected through a different AP in a 'Wireless Client' mode.

aashish351, could you configure your DWL-2100AP router in 'AP repeater' mode?
Like demonstrated here: http://support.dlink.com/emulators/dwl2100ap/210/aprepeater.html
That might solve your problem.
Info on client mode: How do I set my DWL-2100AP to client mode (http://dlink.com/us/en/business-solutions/support/faqs/access-points-range-extenders/access-points/dwl-series/dwl-2100ap/how-do-i-set-my-dwl-2100ap-to-client-mode?)
Info on repeater mode: How do I set my DWL-2100AP to repeater mode? (http://dlink.com/us/en/home-solutions/support/faqs/access-points-range-extenders/access-points/dwl-series/dwl-2100ap/how-do-i-set-my-dwl-2100ap-to-repeater-mode)
"Once the DWL-2100AP is set to repeater mode, it becomes a transparent device"

Thanks! As a matter of fact I used 2100AP in 'Universal Repeater' before but not for this purpose. My firmware is probably newer than 2.10 because I don't have AP repeater as a mode. Is it the same as Universal Repeater?

I don't own D-Link routers, so I can't confirm based on experience.
But YES, configure universal repeater mode!
