Can I add multiple soundcards within a vortexbox using player

As the title states....I have a older pc that I've converted to a vortexbox to hopefully act as a server for a multizone home system....can I fill all available pci slots (4,5 or 6)*with mutiple basic 2 channel soundcards and via vortexbox player (and lmc) see and control/use each sound card as a seperate zone?

Yes, you can add additional sound cards and use them to drive additional zones on the lms.* You need to use the output of aplay -L to see the available outputs, and use that to fill in the appropriate blanks in the Vortexbox Player page.* You may also need to unmute the outputs using alsamixer.* Make sure to save your alsamixer configuration via alsactl store "card #"

where do i find aplay -L?

also when filling in the device and ports, do you know what it should look like? the ports are in format x: [x,x] but the info just to do x,x...?

aplay -L is entered at the command prompt after logging into your Vortexbox via the local terminal, shellinabox, or telnet. *The format for the output is as follows.

"output":CARD="card name",DEV="device number"
