Ripping Status

What is the intent of the ripping status when it first displays the log file?


At the moment it displays the last part of the log file. Is it supposed to update periodically? If so, it does not work for me on a Windows PC.

It will only update if you are ripping something.

Hi Andrew, I have been ripping all day non stop - It does not update at all on my PC - I have to close windows explorer (ugh!) and open it again to get it to change its screen at all. I have been opening the full log to watch.

I trashed my vortexbox and started with a clean ISO install instead of the update - still did not work.


Then I tried this with Opera and it works fine - don't you just love that Microsoft stuff!!

Interesting. I only have Firefox and OSX here so I don't do testing with Microsoft browsers. The java script engine in IE has all kinds of problems. Although I hear it has improved in IE8. Can you test with IE8 or Firefox and tell me if it works? If I'm going to have to support Microsoft web browsers I only want to support the latest release. /wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

On XP PRO and Vista Home Premium, Firefox 3 works fine as does Opera.


I have IE7 on WindowsXP and IE8 on Vista. Neither work for me.


I have fiddled with the Sun JRE stuff and the settings in the browsers (includng security) but unless I am missing something I cannot get it to work.
