First off, great work on the project, this seems really great. First media center that really has a fantastic interface!

However, I already have two clustered media centers setup at my house running Solaris 10. I read the post previously that said you were not supporting running VortexBox on any other OS, but I was wondering if I could compile the source code myself for Solaris and perhaps get that running. The nice thing about Solaris 10 is the ZFS filesystem. This allows me to quickly replicate my filesystems across my two servers almost instantly for up to the minute backups of all my music, videos and pictures.

As great as this software looks, I just can't give up the redundancy of ZFS. Also, these are small boxes with only 512MB of RAM, so running a VM would not be so ideal.

I'd be willing to give any help I can on getting this working, if you deem is reasonable.

It would be hard to run VortexBox on Solaris. If you want redundancy why not just use two boxes and rsync the drives.
