(Tried to post this yesterday but I must have screwed up in some way, d'oh!)
In the first few days of ripping I've had a few cases where the whole process has just stopped. A CD finishes encoding, but the album art doesn't appear and the next one doesn't start ripping. In every case so far this has been down to the presence of data tracks at the end, like video footage and such like. I've been giving the process a kick -- after the encoding has finished (which is normally when I notice it) -- with these 2 commands (in this order) in the terminal
service vortexbox stop
service vortexbox start
It means no need to reboot, but the album art never arrives (which doesn't bother me, personally). Posting it here both as a tip to others, and also wondering whether anyone has any idea how to stop this happening.
