Hi,

After a great deal of searching on these forums, google, etc, I cannot seem to find my answer, so here goes...

I am very close to purchasing the 2TB VBA predominately for its music / Squeezebox functionality, but I would also like to use it as a backup device for all my home computers. My question is, does it support Apple's Time Machine (so I can use it to auto-backup my daughters MAC)?

I also assume I can use it to backup my windows laptop (I use Symantec BackupExec).

Any info greatly appreciated (e.g. if it does not support Timemachine, is there a recommended alternative backup software for the MAC that can use VBA?)

Thanks,

Danny

Unfortunately the Timemachine interface only works with a real Timemachine. Apple made sure of that. But you can use other backup software for your Mac. I think you can get a verion of Symantec BackupExec that works with Mac if your already using that on your PC.

Symantec BackupExec should be able to backup up to a SMB share so it shoukld work fine with VortexBox.
