Ok, i have had this working on a different Vortexboxserver with the VBP showed up on mysqueezebox.com and pandora then shows up in the myapps section of squeezeboxserver to be able to play. But i am at a loss as to how to get it to work with a fresh iso load of either 1.5 or 1.6.
I have resintalled several times, its new hardware so nothing to lose on the hard drive for now. Ive setup the mysqueezebox.com account for the user. Ive linked their mysqueezebox account with the pandora app.
Problem: VBP will not show up in the players list on MSB.com. Therefore Pandora will not show up on the SBS because you cant assign it to a player.
Ultimately: is there a way to have pandora show up on the SBS with or without having the player registered in MSB.com?
For the record, i have deleted the MAC, and i've read and applied nearly every fix i could google, etc but there isnt much. Am i missing something, or is the connection between VBP and MSB.com really that tenuous?
Thanks.
Larry

I would really like to figure this out. Anyone had ANY trouble getting VBP to be seen on mysqueezebox.com?

Since VortexBox Player should show up as a squeezeslave player on mysqueezebox.com, you might try asking your question on http://forums.slimdevices.com (http://forums.slimdevices.com. )
Lots of expertise in that forum about SqueezeBox Server, squeezeslave, and mysqueezebox.com.

OK Thanks, i wasnt exactly sure the relationship between vortexbox player and squeezeplayer, and if there was significant variance where to ask for help.

For anyone else interested, i have worked around my issue.
I still cant get (any) of the Vortexbox Servers i have setup to register the headless player Mac address with the mysqueezebox.com site. Dont know what to do. Have installed from ISO, have upgraded one machine from 0.9 up to 1.5 then up to 1.7 now as well as the fedora update. Still no change to the server's internal player registering ANY MAC address that it is configured with.
I WAS able to finally restore the my apps to the local squeezeserver interface. I had to install softsqueeze on a connected computer, and it would register to the players. Which then would allow the installed apps to show up in the myapps section of the SBS.
Its not ideal, but for now it seems to restore all the functionality, and really not interested in remote control of the SBS except through the SBS:9000 interface. Dont need to control it through the mysqueezebox.com.
Dont know if this helps. Maybe someone else can confirm the process i'm going through. But if all i have connected is the squeezeslave running on the SBS, i am unable to get the myapps to show up on the SBS because they have no player to "attach" them to. Doesnt matter that the softsqueeze player on the computer is never going to be used, it just needs to register once.
Good luck. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip, I just built another vortex machine and ran into the same problem. Your post was a huge time saver. Thank you!

You shouldn't need to do this now. VortexBox Player should just show up on mysqueezebox.com automatically.
