Deleting files

Hi, I have read a number of responses regarding deleting files - but i still don't get it.


I have your 1TB Vortex box and transferred about 600GB of music to another hard-drive and now would like to free up some space on the vortex box. I get the message "network access is denied. Be sure you have the correct network permissions to perform this action".


I appreciate your help. Please put responses in a simplistic way.

Use another PC to delete the files. All you have to do is create a network share on a windows or mac PC. Using Windows explorer select the files to delete - quite simple without the need to try command line codes.


You have to select the right share which I can't remember try files/music/flac. I have the share at the files directory, they appear when you do a search on your network or type in the ip address of the vortexbox in the windows explorer bar.

The other folders in the system are usually set to read only, this is not, hence the error messge as suggested above.
