Durations

The titles durations are almost always longer than the ones printed on the back covers, the difference is a few seconds.


I see in the config file that the "prepend" and "extend" values are 2 seconds, by default: is it the reason ?

I don't really know what these setting do. The documentation leads me to believe that these settings are the size of the chunks read from the CD. It seems I would notice if there was a 2 second gap at the end and start of a track. I play tracks ripped with VortexBox all the time and the music starts instantly. If you change them to 0 does this make the files the way you want?

I have not changed the config file (too much afraid!).


In fact, I do not hear any abnormal gap.


I should compare with a CD player to be sure.
